Lectures and orientations

PPGDT researchers work in the basic education of communities where collections of research material are carried out. Typically, prior to data collection, researchers and their supervisors meet with the community to clarify questions about public health topics that are related to the survey that will be conducted on-site. In addition, there are meetings with community health workers and local teachers explaining the reasons for the visit and clarifying additional community questions.

It is possible to highlight the action of master student Joyce dos Santos Freitas, who during the course of 2013, held lectures with teachers of basic education on care at work with students who suffer loss of color vision in three riverside communities.
