Clinical care to the population
The work developed by the PPGDT has a high social insertion both in the capital and in the countryside of the state of Pará. Research and extension projects offer public service of specialized services in dermatology, infectology, neurology, ophthalmology and physiotherapy. The population sent from all over the state of Pará can carry out consultations for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases such as leprosy, hepatitis, HTLV infections, HIV, toxoplasmosis, dengue and malaria, thanks to the research developed in the Program, highlighting those researches approved by PPSUS Official Notices. In addition, research in communities located outside the capital, for example, in riverside communities in the Tapajós River basin and the Tocantins River are accompanied by clinical care by doctors of various specialties.
