Publication of articles
In 2013, the Program published 74 articles in indexed journals, of which 9 (12.2%) articles were in the A1 stratum, 13 (17.6%) articles were in the A2 stratum, 13 (17.6%) articles were in the (12.3%) articles were in stratum B1, 18 (24.3%) articles were in stratum B2, 3 (4.1%) articles were in stratum B3, 12 (16.2%) articles were in stratum B4 and 6 (8.1%) articles were in strata B5. The sum of publications in journals A1, A2 and B1 was 35.1% of the total. In 2014, the program published 96 articles in indexed journals, of which 4 (4.17%) articles were in stratum A1, 22 (22.92%) articles in stratum A2, 34 (35.42%) articles in stratum B1, 16 (16.67%) articles in stratum B2, 4 (4.17%) articles in stratum B3, 12 (12.5%) articles in stratum B4 and 4 (4,17%) articles in stratum B5. The sum of publications in journals A1, A2 and B1 was 58.3% of the total. There was an improvement in the quantity and quality of teaching publications from the year 2013 to the year 2014. The average score of professors of the program also increased from 2013 to 2014. By 2013, the average score was 165.91 to 230 in 2014 Another positive factor presented by the PPGDT was the variety of journals in which the articles were published. In 2013 articles were published in 33 different journals, while in 2014 articles were published in 50 different journals.
Participation in lectures and congresses
The faculty of PPGDT have actively participated as congressmen, speakers and organizers of scientific events at regional, national and international scientific meetings, highlighting members' participation in FeSBE meetings, Association for Vision and Ophthalmology Meeting, Meeting of the Brazilian Society of Tropical Diseases, the International Congress of Tropical Medicine and Malaria, the Amazonian Congress and the Congress of the European Society of Mycobacteriology (ESM), International Congress for Tropical Medicine and Malaria and the Meeting of the Brazilian Society of Immunology (SBI). In addition, members of the PPGDT have participated as reviewers of reputable international journals.
It has been increasingly common for researchers from other countries to collaborate with researchers from other countries, such as Jan Kremers (Germany), Reza Nassiri (United States of America), Beatriz Odonell (Argentina), Barry Lee (United States of America), Barbara Finlay (United States of America), Uriel Kriton (United States of America) and David Mirelman (Israel).
